RFQ / Eaton, Moeller and Klöckner-Moeller
If your switchgear says Moeller, it is Eaton. The part numbers came through the acquisition largely unchanged, so a DILM contactor or a PKZM motor protective switch is the same product whichever name is on the front. Send the part number and the badge does not matter.
Moeller switchgear is on a great deal of New Zealand plant, particularly on European machinery and in panels built through the nineties and two thousands. Much of it is still current product under a different name.

A DILM9 badged Moeller and one badged Eaton are the same contactor. That is unusually good news, because it means a lot of what looks obsolete on an old panel is still in production.
So do not assume a Moeller part is unobtainable. Send us the number and we will tell you whether it is current, superseded or genuinely obsolete. On this brand the answer is more often current than people expect.

M22 pilot devices are three parts, not one
The most immediately useful thing on this page, because it turns a large order into a small one.
An M22 pushbutton is assembled from separate components that all have their own part numbers.

So a cracked button head is a front element, not a whole assembly. A contact that has stopped making is a contact block. A lamp that has failed is an LED element.

Tell us the symptom and we will quote the part rather than the assembly. On a panel with twenty pushbuttons that difference is significant.
Emergency stops are the exception worth flagging. An E-stop is a safety device, its contact blocks are usually positively opening, and substituting an ordinary contact block into one is not acceptable. Tell us if the device is an E-stop and we will quote the correct parts.
Motor protection: the setting is in the part number
Covered in detail on the contactors page, and worth flagging here.
A PKZM motor protective circuit breaker carries its current setting range in the part number, so a number that ends in a figure like 6.3 covers a range up to that current.
That has to bracket the motor's full load current. Too high and the motor is not protected. Too low and it trips on start.
So send us the motor nameplate full load current as well as the part number, and we will confirm the range is right rather than just matching the number.
The easy relay holds the machine logic
The same pattern that runs through this whole site, on a device people treat as a component rather than a controller.
An easy relay is a small programmable controller. It runs a program, and on plenty of machines that program is the entire control scheme.

These get overlooked precisely because they look like a relay. A small grey box on a DIN rail does not read as a PLC, so nobody thinks to back it up, and the logic is often undocumented because it was written by whoever built the panel.
If you have easy relays, get the programs off them. A memory card is inexpensive and it turns the device into a swap.

Breakers: the trip unit may be the part

Moulded case breakers take a substantial range of accessories, and a good proportion of enquiries that arrive as a breaker turn out to be an accessory, a trip unit or an operating mechanism.
Tell us what you actually need it to do and we will quote the smaller part where there is one.
Note that after a breaker has cleared a serious fault it may not be fit to return to service. That judgement belongs with whoever is responsible for the installation.
